There is absolutely no reason why the principles of verification cannot be applied to fiction. if truth is so true and if lies are so false that doubt disappears and uncertainty is banished, the world will be such a mundane place no one could possibly retain a sanitary mind.
For this reason I write stuff that need not necessarily be true or untrue. At best it should entertain, at worst it should fail to explain.
